Does the ZAP prevent breakouts from occurring?
Zap uses 414nm wavelength of blue LED light. Blue LED light at this wavelength is known to be phototoxic to bacteria. This means that not only are you eliminating the pimple, you are killing the bacteria that causes acne, therefore preventing future breakouts.

How do I change the batteries in my Zap?
To change the batteries in your Zap, you want to first ensure the device is turned off and remove the treatment head from the device. Then, take the battery cartridge out of the device and remove the 3 AAA batteries. Simply place 3 new AAA batteries in the cartridge and place back into the device. Line up the two arrows on the treatment head and device, and twist the treatment head counter clockwise to secure.

I got one of these for christmas! At first I thought it was a flashlight because it's a super bright hand held LED device. However, I've been using it on a zit that showed itself and it's reducing in size! I agree with other reviews that the batteries do die within a week. A good option is to have rechargeable batteries. IF you use the Tanda as directed you will see your zits go down a great deal. I have hormonal (under chin) and bad cysts acne around my period it helped them clear up a lot faster than just using my AHA's. For me, the best part of this device is that it doesn't dry my skin out around the pimple, it just seems to melt away. I hate using zit creams and gels because I'm super sensitive and I find that I'm always left with a big dry lump which then leads to a scar. The tanda really does help to avoid this. I'm already feeling less self-conscious about my skin which is good, so I'll continue to use this and see what happens.Rating

After using the zap device for a week or so, I did notice decreased redness almost immediately around the breakout area. Also if i catch the pimple before it comes to a head, I notice the device is really fast in working to get rid of the zit.
