In the event that the Tända Light Therapy Device fails to perform as intended, the following notes will help to resolve simple problems with the device and its setup

“Device will not start when the ON button is pressed”
The internal battery pack is completely drained. If the power adaptor is connected directly to the handpiece, ensure it is firmly connected and plugged into a working AC outlet. If the power adaptor is connected to the recharging stand, make sure the handpiece is firmly in the stand and the stand is plugged into a working AC outlet. The orange light will turn on when the handpiece is charging.

“Light indicator is off while the power adaptor is plugged into a working AC outlet”
Battery pack is fully charged.

“Unusual indicator light patterns or performance behavior”
Loose connection between the power adaptor and the Tända handpiece. Reconnect.
Or
Broken or damaged DC power cord. Consult your dealer or tandaskincare.com for a replacement.
Or
Unit may require resetting. This can be accomplished by placing the Tända handpiece temporarily in the recharging stand.

“Unit will not begin treatment”
Check to see the treatment head is secure. Ensure unit is fully charged.

“The orange light does not come on when charging/unit is not charging”
Ensure that when you are placing the Tända handpiece into the recharging stand, you press down firmly. It is a tight fit, and connections have to be made in order for charging to start. Alternatively, when the Tända handpiece is fully charged, the light will turn off, so it is possible that your unit has completed charged.

“Unit shuts off after only a few treatments”
Ensure that you are charging your Tända device correctly. When you place the handpiece into the recharging stand, press down until the orange indicator light is on.

“Tända turns off after 3 minutes”
At the end of a 3-minute treatment cycle, the Tända device stays in “ready mode”, which is demonstrated by a steady green light. You need to press the orange button to start another treatment cycle.

“Tända beeps during the treatment”
The Tända device beeps every 30 seconds as a way of helping you keep track of the time left in the treatment cycle.
