I've just whitened my teeth, can I smoke?
Your whitening results will decrease if you smoke or consume any stain causing beverages such as coffee, red wine, or tea. It is recommended to avoid these after a teeth whitening. Avoid eating and drinking for 30 minutes after each treatment.
How long will it take for my teeth to become their whitest?
Results will vary by individual. Some teeth will whiten dramatically in just a few treatments, while others can take more. On average, the majority of users experience the most dramatic whitening results immediately and within the following week after completing the treatments. The more yellow versus gray color you have in your teeth, the better the bleaching. Grey enamel similar to that of Tetracycline (antibiotic) staining is more difficult to bleach and can take more treatments to achieve a result.
Is the Tanda Pearl Device water resistant?
Only the Pearl mouth-tray is water resistant and can be rinsed under water, but you should avoid getting the handle wet and it should never be immersed in water. It is recommended to clean the mouth-tray with a toothbrush to quickly and thoroughly remove the gel.
What if the indicator light on the Pearl mouth-tray does not turn green?
Check that the gel is evenly spread inside the mouth tray so that it is in contact with the inner walls of the tray. If the indicator light still does not turn green, it could be that the gel is too cold, let the gel sit in a room temperature environment for 30 minutes prior to use. If the problem persists, replace the gel in the mouth tray.
How should I clean the tray?
The tray should be cleaned by using a tooth brush. It is important to make sure the tray is dry before placing it in the clam shell storage case.
Is the Tanda Pearl battery rechargeable?
The battery is not rechargeable, and will perform longer if the device is stored in a cool dry environment (room temperature). The Pearl will last for at least 50 treatments of 5 minutes.
Can I keep the ionic whitening gel in the freezer?
The gel should not be kept in the freezer. However, it should be stored in a cool, dry environment away from heat and direct sunlight. It is recommended to store the gel in a refrigerator to prolong the effectiveness, and then leave it out for 30 minutes at room temperature prior to use. It is also important to keep the Pearl system (clean and dry) in the clamshell storage case between uses.
What happens if I swallow gel during the treatment?
The shape of the Pearl tray is especially designed to hold the gel on teeth throughout the treatment. No adverse events will result from ingesting the saliva with some gel during treatment. While swallowing large amounts of gel could cause nausea and stomach irritation, this gel contains a small amount of peroxide, which shouldn’t cause any irritation or nausea. However at the end of the treatment it is important to spill out the remaining gel and saliva from your mouth and rinse with water.
Should I brush my teeth before and after the treatment?
It is recommended to brush your teeth before the treatment and simply rinse with water afterwards. To allow full activation of the ionic gel, it is recommended NOT to brush the teeth right after your Pearl treatment.
Is it safe to use while pregnant or breast-feeding?
It is recommended you consult your physician before using the product if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Step 1: Squeeze one gel tube evenly into each side of the tray, using a total of 2 gel tubes.

Always love white teeth but hate going to the dentist as I get terrible pain after the whitening treatment.....tried everything but couldn't get the results without the sensitivity. Read about the Pearl in Allure and thought the Ionic technology is interesting. Used it for 5 days and I am so pleased with the beautiful results and best of all no sensitivity!!! The Tanda Pearl is sooo cool. The package comes with everything you need to get started to a whiter, brighter smile – the mouth tray, enough ionic whitening gel for 10 treatments, a handy protective case for the mouth tray, and all the instructions you will need. The gel is easy to apply to both sides of the mouth tray (top and bottom) and there’s no leaking or dripping. You simply apply the gel (which I kept in my refrigerator per the instructions), place the mouth tray in your mouth so that your teeth fit squarely in the tray, press the button to turn it on, and in five minutes you’re done! You have the option of doing ten 5-minute treatments back to back, for a total of 50 minutes, or you can do two treatments each day for five days, whichever method works best for you.Rating
I chose the five day treatment and it worked beautifully. Even after my first use I noticed that my teeth were a bit brighter and it was very obvious that they were more luminous. The 5-minute treatment can fly by if you keep busy, otherwise it seems like it will take forever! The gel is minty and cool – but not in a bad way at all. It’s a fairly pleasant experience for the most part! Once my treatment was over, I just rinsed out the tray and left it to dry, and I also rinsed out my mouth. The description says there is no tooth sensitivity side-effects, but I did feel that for an hour or two after treatment I was sensitive to hot and cold and different food textures.
The Tanda Pearl has worked so much better than any over-the-counter oral health care product I have used, and the best part is that it is cheaper than dental treatments and I could do it at my convenience in the comfort of my own home. The Tanda Pearl is reusable, so I can order more ionic whitening gel the next time I want to do a round. I cannot recommend the Tanda Pearl highly enough! (Posted on 4/30/12) -

Decided to try the product at the recommendation of a smoker friend and got terrific results. The 5 minute treatment is almost too good to be true but the whitening results speak for themselves. I think i got better results with this product than anything else I used in the past and have since recommended it to family and friends. I have only had it for about a month so I can't give long term perspective but so far so good!

I have tried pretty much everything out there with success mostly with the dentist products which are pricey and give me tremendous teeth sensitivity. I was introduced to the Pearl by a friend who highly recommended the product and I am so happy she did! The pearl works SO VERY QUICKLY...only 5 minute treatment and my teeth are so much whiter. I used about half the kit for now and can say that the results are already similar to what I get from my dentist all night trays. I am very pleased with how easy and quick it is to use.
Best of all is I have absolutely NO sensitivity with this product which is very surprising. Many products claim it but with the PEARL I really feel nothing during the treatment. I am using it once a day at night.....I think I am in love!

Huge fan of teeth whitening but always hated going to the dentist for that REAL white and all those strips just go on for ever with minimal results. Was intrigued by the ionic technology and gave this a shot....loved the 5 minute treatment and best of all absolutely no sensitivity! I was very pleasantly surprised. Best of all is how quickly it works, saw good results in 3 days and am delighted by how comfortable and effective it is. If anything I would say the only negative is the price but I guess being able to use it again with the booster kits makes the initial purchase a bit more reasonable.

I tried the professional dentists whitening and trays but have really put up with them because the strips are so ineffective...the cost and sensitivity of the dentist treatment are not on my fav list.
