FINANCIAL ANALYST

Description:

Pharos Life has a position available for a Financial Analyst, to be the right-hand person to a very busy Director of Finance. This role would be perfect for an out-going individual who has 2+ years Accounting/Finance experience. Accounting designation or working towards CGA, CMA is an asset.  This role has excellent opportunity for growth and advancement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  •  Month end reconciliations and financial statement preparation
  • Budget to actual reports and analysis
  • Journal entries and general accounting
  • Sales reporting
  • Assist with cost analysis
  • Assist with various finance/accounting related projects

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal guidance
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be willing to work in a small business environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office ' Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Net Suite an asset
  • Completion of a two year business/accounting program is preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and related experience)

Product Quality Technologist

Description:

Pharos Life is seeking a Product Quality Technologist for a 3 month contract position, with a potential for permanent employment.  The Product Quality Technologist is responsible for conducting component and product evaluations and providing summarized information to the Product Development group.  Specifically, he/she will conduct failure investigations of returned product and/or assemblies to identify defects and perform repairs and/or servicing as appropriate.  The incumbent works closely with receiving, Product Development and Quality Assurance. Ideally, this individual possesses diploma in electronics or equivalent and has between 3 to 5 years experience in servicing or repairing electro-mechanical equipment in the Medical Device industry.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the direction of Product Development, conduct product inspections on returned product summarizing findings for further analysis
  • Conduct First Article inspections of new products or prototypes toward commercialization
  • Perform repairs of products in accordance with established work instructions
  • Coordinate calibration of test equipment and maintain associated records
  • Maintain and report product quality metrics to Product Development, Supply Chain Management and Quality Assurance
  • Create new and modify existing engineering documentation; Write technical  procedures, processes and work instructions

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma as either an electrical technician or technologist
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate ideas and information effectively, clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated experience with writing technical documentation
  • In-depth knowledge of IPC-610
  • Excellent problem-solving experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
